Swansea pain clinic was established by Dr Christian Egeler and has been serving the population of South/West Wales, complementing the NHS pain services.
The clinic has built a reputation on investigating, diagnosing and managing most common (and also uncommon) pain conditions, working closely with specialists in Orthopaedics, Spinal surgery, Neurosurgery, Burns and Plastic surgery, Rehabilitation medicine, Sports Medicine and Physiotherapy. The strength of our service is to support and help people understand and manage their conditions in the best possible way, in the long-term. This includes support and advise to GPs and other primary care healthcare professionals.
After a lengthy and successful career Dr Egeler has chosen to retire from clinical practice and focus on his other interests. To facilitate ongoing care of previously registered patients and new patients accessing the Swansea pain clinic, he has transferred the practice to Professor Neeraj Saxena. Professor Saxena has worked closely with Dr Egeler and continues to run Swansea Pain Clinic with the same ethos and level of care.
